Hi!  My name is Taylor, and I am a single mom to a 5-year-old girl and 2-year-old boy.  I am a health enthusiast and Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert who believes in a holistic and natural approach to wellness.  My passion is food, and vegetables get me excited.  Check out my first blog post here to read more about what led me to an obsession with a healthier lifestyle.  I think there are so many amazing, colorful, and delicious real foods that it makes the switch from more processed foods so much easier than people think.  I started this blog to share my favorite recipes, information, and tips to live a cleaner, more nutritious lifestyle.  Whether you’re “all in” and crunchy like me, or just looking to make baby steps or to feed your family more vegetables, I hope you’ll find some useful information in this blog.

While I don’t adhere to a specific diet (vegan, paleo, gluten-free, etc), I do eat mostly plants, as they provide the most nutrient-dense, live-giving goodness that supports every system in our body.  I source grass-fed meat, pasture-raised eggs, and raw dairy locally through a CSA, and I purchase as much produce as possible from our local farmers market – not only is it more nutritious, but it is also the most environmentally sustainable AND it supports small farms.



I’m a graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in anthropology, which has proven to be quite usefulless in my job as a sales rep for a craft brewery, then an accountant, and now a mom, healthy food blogger, and grad student.  I live in Franklin, TN (outside of Nashville), and am lucky to be surrounded by amazing farms and producers of awesome food products.  Some women get excited to go shopping in boutiques – I get excited to go shopping at the Farmers Market early on Saturday mornings.  I also take my vitamins and am in bed by 9:30.  My definition of cool has evolved over the years.
