Oats or eggs?  Now you don’t have to decide!  This savory take on one of my breakfast favorites combines the best of both worlds in a perfect meal that is loaded with fiber, protein, and good fat that will keep you full until lunch.

Savory Oat Breakfast Bowl

  • 1 cup of old fashioned oats
  • 2 TBSP  butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 avocado
  • Salt and Pepper


Cook oats according to package directions.  In a separate pan, heat 1 TBSP of butter.  Fry eggs to desired doneness.  Thinly slice avocado.

When oats are done cooking, mix in 1 TBSP of butter.  Portion into bowls and top with sliced avocado, egg, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
